“to create and deliver to the fullest extent…the benefits that can be developed for the Lord’s sick and poor”

The Mission Statement of the Sovereign Order includes in the first point “to create and deliver to the fullest extent…the benefits that can be developed for the Lord’s sick and poor”. These benefits are for all regardless of religion. They are an obligation for every Commandery and Priory. These obligations stem from the early years of the Sovereign Order when every Knight, including the Grand Master, was required to give a day every week to the Hospice.

Helping one’s neighbor is a Christian duty for all Knights and Dames of the Sovereign Order.

Our Individual

is a Spiritual Obligation

Our individual effort is a spiritual obligation. Each Commandery is also expected to help the Sick and Poor with projects that involve joint action, whether it is donations, effort by members or some combination of both. Our individual effort is difficult to capture and list on a website and often may not be in the name of the Sovereign Order.  All funds contributed for charities go to the designated charities. There are no charges for overhead whatsoever.  No member receives compensation for any work done and sufficient dues are paid to cover our operating expenses. The Commandery of the Palm Beaches makes every effort to be as diligent and cost-efficient as possible.
